"The greatest Guru does not ask you to worship Him. He awakens you to discover the Guru within — the Atma."
Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli is revered by thousands of seekers as a realized master whose life has been dedicated to meditation, self-realization, and the awakening of the Atma within every human being. His teachings are founded on a simple yet profound truth — that the eternal Self, the Atma, is the true source of peace, wisdom, and divine consciousness.
Unlike many spiritual teachers who emphasize philosophy through long discourses, Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli has become known as a "Teacher by Example." His life itself has been His greatest teaching. Through silence, meditation, compassion, discipline, and personal example, He has inspired countless seekers to experience spirituality directly rather than merely understand it intellectually. Because of this unique approach, many devotees lovingly refer to Him as the "Silent Yogi."

According to the mission's official records, Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli devoted decades to intense spiritual practice before establishing the mission in its present form.
He is first publicly recognized for His long period of tapasya (penance) at Yeola in Nashik district, where He spent thirty-two years in deep meditation under extremely austere conditions. His daily routine centred on meditation, supported by yoga, fasting, and a minimal diet, all undertaken in pursuit of direct realization of the Atma.
For Sadguru, meditation was never presented as an escape from the world. It was, and continues to be, the means through which every individual can discover the truth that already exists within.
Even while immersed in spiritual discipline, Sadguru did not remain isolated from society. He travelled extensively on foot across several Indian states, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.
These Padayatras allowed Him to meet people from every background and share the message that the divine is not distant — it resides within one's own heart as the Atma. His guidance was never limited by caste, religion, language, or social status. Everyone was encouraged to undertake the inward journey through meditation.
One question many visitors ask is why Babaji was first known as Janglidas Maharaj and later revered as Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli. The answer begins with His deep devotion to Sadguru Jangali Maharaj, the great yogi whose samadhi is in Pune. Inspired by this devotion, He came to be known as Janglidas Maharaj — literally "the servant (Das) of Jangali Maharaj," reflecting His humility and devotion to His Guru.
As His teachings evolved, the emphasis shifted from the personality of the Guru to the realization of the Atma within every seeker. This was not a rejection of the earlier name, but the natural unfolding of His central teaching — that the Guru's purpose is not to create dependence upon Himself, but to awaken seekers to the eternal Master already present within them.
Janglidas Maharaj and Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli are therefore not two different individuals. They are the same enlightened Master, known by different names during different stages of the mission's spiritual evolution.
Among the most significant milestones in the mission's journey was the adoption of the salutation "Atma Malik." The earlier greeting used within the mission was "Om Gurudev," expressing reverence for the Guru. In time, Sadguru transformed this greeting into "Atma Malik," meaning "the Atma is the Master."
This change carried profound spiritual significance. It reminded every seeker that while the Sadguru guides the journey, the ultimate destination is the realization of the divine presence within one's own heart, rather than attachment to an external form.
One of the most distinctive aspects of Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli's life is His way of teaching. He did not rely on lengthy philosophical explanations because the inward journey cannot be understood through words alone — meditation is experiential, and each seeker must discover its truth personally.
His silence became His discourse. His discipline became His message. His life became His scripture. For this reason, devotees affectionately describe Him as the Silent Yogi, whose presence itself inspires meditation, faith, and inner transformation.
While meditation remains the heart of His teaching, Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli also recognized the importance of nurturing future generations. Under His guidance, the mission developed educational initiatives inspired by Gurukul values, where academic learning is complemented by discipline, compassion, self-confidence, and spiritual awareness.
The mission also expanded into ashrams, meditation centres, publications, and outreach programmes so that seekers from different walks of life could benefit from authentic spiritual guidance.
"Sabka Malik Atma" — the Atma is the true Master of all. This teaching remains the foundation of Atma Malik Dhyan Yog Mission.
The legacy of Sadguru Atma Malik Mauli is not confined to a place, a building, or an institution. It lives in every seeker who chooses meditation over restlessness, compassion over division, and Self-realization over illusion.
Through His life, His guidance, and the timeless message of "Sabka Malik Atma," He continues to inspire countless individuals to embark upon the inward journey toward lasting peace and spiritual awakening. Every seeker who discovers inner peace contributes to a more peaceful family, a more compassionate society, and a more harmonious world.
For those who seek truth, His invitation remains unchanged: Turn within. Know the Atma. Discover the Master who has always resided in your own heart.
